Day of the Dead/Halloween-Themed Bicycling and Walking Event Happens on October 24-25
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, UNITED STATES, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — PKSD is once again sponsoring Day of the Tread. This is a Day of the Dead/Halloween-themed bicycling event for riders of all skill levels and ages. The Gravel Grinder is happening on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and the 4K walk and road cycling events are happening the next day on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
This is the 20th year of the event and the second year in a row that PKSD is sponsoring the event. Participants can choose from a variety of routes, from 6 miles all the way to 100 miles.
The Gravel Grinder includes routes of eight miles, 17 miles, 31 miles, 50 miles and 73 miles.
For the fifth year of the event, there is a 4K Walk Around Old Town.
All registered participants receive the following benefits: official T-shirt, themed recharge stations all 7-12 miles, bike valet, participation medal, admittance to a post-event party, and more.
