New Hampshire-based football analytics leader Aneesh Sharma is encouraging people to strengthen their leadership skills through daily preparation, thoughtful decision-making, and service to others.
CONCORD, NH / ACCESS Newswire / August 5, 2026 / Aneesh Sharma, Director of Game Management & Analytics for the Dartmouth football team and a Quantitative Social Science student at Dartmouth College, today announced a new personal pledge designed to encourage individuals to become stronger leaders by focusing on preparation, continuous learning, and service. Inspired by the lessons he has learned through football, research, and community involvement, Sharma hopes the pledge reminds people that leadership begins long before a critical moment arrives.

“Leadership qualities are consistently among the most important traits for a coach to have. It’s the starting point for the job,” Sharma says.
Throughout his career, Sharma has worked with organizations including Dartmouth football, the Los Angeles Rams, Navy football, the University of Georgia football program, and The 33rd Team. Those experiences reinforced that strong leadership is built through consistent habits rather than one-time achievements.
“I’ve always enjoyed understanding why things happen. Whether it’s research or football, I like finding patterns that help people make better decisions,” Sharma says.
He believes preparation creates confidence, while curiosity creates growth.
“Football is incredibly detailed. The more prepared you are before the game starts, the better positioned you are to make good decisions,” Sharma explains.
Sharma also believes learning never stops.
“I’ve been fortunate to learn from great people. Every opportunity teaches you something new if you’re willing to pay attention,” he says.
Aneesh Sharma’s Personal Leadership Pledge
As part of this initiative, Sharma is committing to seven specific actions:
