ByteBridge appoints Imtiaz Alam as VP of Data Center Engineering to strengthen global delivery of scalable, resilient AI and data center infrastructure.

HAYWARD, CA, UNITED STATES, August 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — ByteBridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Imtiaz Alam as VP of Data Center Engineering, reinforcing the company’s commitment to engineering excellence as it continues to support the rapid growth of AI, cloud, and hyperscale data center infrastructure worldwide.

Based in Northern Virginia, one of the world’s largest data center markets, Imtiaz will lead ByteBridge’s global engineering organization, bringing more than 18 years of experience delivering critical infrastructure solutions for hyperscale cloud providers, telecommunications operators, and enterprise customers.

Most recently, Imtiaz held senior engineering leadership roles at Meta, where he led the planning, design, and delivery of global edge, backbone and subsea infrastructure supporting the company’s worldwide network. His responsibilities included long-range capacity planning, engineering design, vendor strategy, infrastructure delivery, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure scalable and resilient network infrastructure across global data center, point of presence (POP), and cable landing station deployments. Earlier in his career, he held engineering leadership roles at Delta Electronics and Eltek, building deep expertise in critical power systems, infrastructure deployment, and global engineering program management.

“We’re excited to welcome Imtiaz to ByteBridge,” said Marvin Cunanan, Co-founder and GM, AMER, of ByteBridge. “As demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow, engineering leadership has never been more important. Imtiaz’s experience designing and delivering hyperscale infrastructure, combined with his global perspective, will further strengthen our engineering capabilities and help us continue delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for customers around the world.”

As Vice President of Engineering, Imtiaz will oversee ByteBridge’s global engineering strategy, standards, and technical delivery, working closely with regional teams and technology partners to drive engineering excellence across the company’s expanding portfolio of AI infrastructure, data center, and mission-critical projects. His leadership will further strengthen ByteBridge’s ability to provide customers with end-to-end engineering expertise throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle—from design and planning to deployment and ongoing optimization.

“I’m excited to join ByteBridge at such an exciting stage of its growth,” said Imtiaz Alam, Vice President of Engineering at ByteBridge. “The company’s entrepreneurial culture, global vision, and strong momentum with growth potential made this a compelling opportunity. I look forward to leading and building talented engineering team, strengthening our technical capabilities, and delivering impactful AI and data center infrastructure projects for customers around the world.”

Imtiaz’s appointment reflects ByteBridge’s continued investment in engineering talent as the company expands its global footprint. With increasing demand for AI-ready infrastructure and mission-critical facilities, ByteBridge remains committed to combining deep engineering expertise with global project execution to help customers accelerate the deployment of next-generation digital infrastructure.
