VICTORIA, TX, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hospice of South Texas® has been named a 2025 SHPBest™ Premier Performer, recognizing the organization among the top 5% of eligible SHP clients for family and caregiver experience.

The annual SHPBest awards are based on results from the CAHPS Hospice Survey, which measures the experiences of families and caregivers whose loved ones received hospice care. To qualify as a Premier Performer, a hospice must rank in the top 5% of eligible SHP clients based on the prior calendar year’s survey results.

“This recognition means so much because it comes from the people who experienced our care firsthand — our patients’ families,” said Laurie Eder, CEO of Hospice of South Texas. “Their feedback reflects the compassion, expertise and commitment our team brings to families every day.”

Hospice of South Texas also holds the highest 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for family and caregiver experience, a distinction the organization has maintained since CMS introduced Hospice CAHPS Star Ratings in 2022.
