Peapack, New Jersey – September 29, 2026 Komline, a provider of separation and water treatment technologies, announced today that it has acquired the Internalift® and Externalift® screw pump product lines from Xylem. The acquisition expands Komline’s ability to serve municipal and industrial wastewater markets with proven technologies for influent, return sludge, and stormwater pumping.
With decades of operating experience and more than 2,000 installations worldwide, Internalift and Externalift lift large volumes of wastewater and entrained solids at plant headworks between treatment stages, and at the effluent end. The technologies complement Komline’s screening, clarification, filtration, thickening, dewatering, and sludge drying solutions, giving customers access to more of the wastewater process through one source.
“Our customers need dependable equipment and a partner who understands how the whole treatment process fits together,” said Danai Brooks, CEO of Komline. “This acquisition gives plant operators and engineers access to more options from Komline as they plan new facilities and upgrade existing plants.” Internalift provides efficient, enclosed pumping for changing flows and space-constrained sites. Its rotating cylinder with internal screw flights helps contain wastewater, odors, and splashing, while accommodating variable flows without continuous speed adjustments. Bearings outside the wastewater stream simplify inspection and maintenance.
Externalift provides high-volume, low-head pumping for raw wastewater, return sludge, and storm flows. Its open, low-speed screw design handles entrained solids without prescreening or grinding for pump protection, while responding to changing inlet levels with straightforward controls.
The product lines will carry the Komline brand and retain the Internalift and Externalift names. Komline will provide parts, service, and technical support for the existing Internalift and Externalift installed base. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
